Pangolin Files 43-101 and Provides Project Update

Pangolin Reports On Drilling at Motloutse Diamond Project, Botswana

- Several targets were drilled and no kimberlite was intersected

Pangolin Begins Drilling Kimberlite Targets at Motloutse Diamond Project, Botswana
- The drilling of five kimberlite targets to commence July 27, 2016
- The area covers where the first diamonds in Botswana were recovered in 1959; their sources have never been discovered
- Kimberlite targets include AGA-01 and MG-08 as previously announced
- Malatswae Diamond Project will be drilled in the second half of 2016 with funds currently in the Company’s treasury

Pangolin Identifies Kimberlite Drill Target MG-08 at Motloutse Diamond Project, Botswana
- The MG-08 is an oval shaped target measuring approximately 4 hectares in size and the second kimberlite target confirmed within the project area
- It is a near surface and groundmagnetic anomaly
- Anomalous concentration of positive kimberlite indicator minerals recovered at surface
- The indicator minerals are characterized by surface textures indicative of their source to be close
- Several other targets are being developed over the next few weeks
- The Motloutse drill program is anticipated to be completed before the end of July 2016
- Drilling at the Malatswae Diamond Project is still on schedule for the second half of 2016

(TSX-V: PAN) (the “Company” or “Pangolin”) is pleased to provide an update for the Company’s wholly-owned Motloutse Diamond Project (“Motloutse”), located 150 km east of the Orapa Diamond Mine in Botswana. Pangolin Reports Type II diamond from MSC Grid, Malatswae Diamond Project, Botswana
- One of seven diamonds from the MSC Grid is a Type II diamond
- The Type II diamond is associated with three Type I ab diamonds in an area of 0.32km2
- The Type II diamond is also associated with ilmenites with reaction rims, a mantle xenolith fragment and fresh angular olivine, all indicative of a proximal source
- Drilling for kimberlite within the MSC Grid will take place in second half of 2016
TORONTO, ONTARIO (May 16, 2016) – Pangolin Diamonds Corp. (TSX-V: PAN) (the “Company” or “Pangolin”) is pleased to report that one of seven diamonds analysed from the MSC Grid in Botswana is a Type II nitrogen-free diamond. Approximately 2% of the world’s diamonds are classified as Type II diamonds.
Type II diamonds are often associated with the presence of large diamonds, for example the 813 carat and 1109 carat diamonds produced from the Karowe Mine by Lucara Diamonds are both Type II diamonds. The Karowe Mine is approximately 105 kilometres northwest from the MSC Grid area. Continue reading
Pangolin Recovers 177 Kimberlite Indicators and Defines Three Exploration Focus Areas within the MTS Grid, Malatswae Diamond Project, Botswana
- A total of 177 kimberlite indicators recovered from 99 soil samples collected within a 0.8 km2 area of the larger grid
- The majority of indicators have surface textures suggesting a proximal source
- Two picroilmenites have fragile surface features suggesting a very close source
- Most of the garnets have compositions similar to garnets from diamonds
- A diamond from the grid supports the presence of diamondiferous kimberlites in the area
- Drilling for kimberlite within the MTS Grid will be undertaken in 2016

- A total of 78 soil samples from the MTS grid are anomalous containing kimberlite indicator minerals
- Pyrope garnets are visually-confirmed in 62 of the soil samples
- 89% of the 62 soil samples contain pyrope garnets with near-source features
- Microprobe analysis and results expected in the coming weeks
- Drilling at MSC Grid where 7 diamonds have been discovered is scheduled to start in the next two weeks

Pangolin Reports Pyrope G10 Garnets, Malatswae Diamond Project, Botswana
- Pyrope garnets with G10 compositions, consistent with the diamond stability field, recovered from a soil sample.
- Three high-pressure garnet megacrysts recovered from three soil samples.
- Additional anomalous garnet concentrations have been recovered from soil samples within a 2km x 2km zone and are being assessed for surface morphology.

(TSX-V: PAN) (the “Company” or “Pangolin”) is pleased to announce it has completed microprobe analysis of pyrope garnets with near-source surface features from the Company’s wholly-owned Malatswae Diamond Project (“Malatswae”), located 90 km southeast of the Orapa kimberlite field in Botswana.
